In the old days there was a practice where the mother, often disguised or hiding under a spread, held her baby tightly to insure a sharply focused image for the photographer. I don’t know about you, but I find these photos to be extremely creepy!

i agree these are definatly creepy photos but also completely awesome to see how much of a difference the quality of photos are these days compared to then.
