Rare colored vinyl records worth a small fortune!

It’s often thought that 78 rpm and vinyl records were always issued black in color – but in reality, colored 78 rpms and vinyl have been around since the early 1900′s. Common colors were yellow, blue and red. ”Columbia Records” and german ”Telefunken” were the first publishing houses which started producing colored vinyl records. And in the next ten years, other publishing houses followed their example. But, this type of records were always issued in limited series. Usually, the musicians were the ones who chose the color of the vinyl for the record. Colored records are very rare, so if you own one of these, be sure that you own a small fortune!

WOW! I have a rare Roy Orbison picture disc with some original 60s songs (before the fire). So… I guess I’m rich… but… You know… I prefer keep it with me. So, maybe I’m not that rich but very happy!! :0)

Common colors were yellow, blue and red. I have a green one so it must be uncommon.
