Paper bird sculptures by Colombian artist Diana Beltran Herrera.
”I ve been working with the hummingbirds. Recently i was reading about the importance of the existance of this animals in the evolution of the plants and the enviroment. Its interesting to see how 2 things that are diferent have an amazing comunication by the formal similitud they have that allow them to grow together and cooperate in its evolution”
Salida de campo
”Im having a special collaboration in this project: talented Victoria Holguín (professional photographer from Colombia) in which we are including the “subject” into a real context that provide a new information of it and its relation with the enviroment. As a body with movement, the inclusion allow me to create a new reality recreated in the habit, behavior, situation and intention of each element represented.”
Studies of movement
”This serie of works comes out on my experience with nature and the discovering process i have had in relation with the world in its real form. Trough the work i analize the movement in the relation object-space. The birds provide me with quantity of information manifested in their activities and dinamism. This new space is externalized by my point of view on some major events of the birds and their environment, in which behaviors are represented, forms, qualities and intentions all related with movement.”
