Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), also known as winter depression, winter blues, or seasonal depression, is a mood disorder in which people who have normal mental health throughout most of the year experience depressive symptoms in the winter. Seasonal mood variations are believed to be related to light. This problem is particularly serious in countries with few sunny days, and those country are the leaders in finding means to fight against this disorder.
As part of the MINIFLUX exhibition for the Festival of Lights in Lyon, designers Valulot&Dyèvre created a series of miniature lights shaped like a box of pills.
