X-radiation is composed of X-rays, and it is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Hard X-rays can penetrate solid objects, and their most common use is to take images of the inside of object. We are all accustomed to the use X-rays for medical purposes, but lately there is an increasing number of artists who use X-rays in fine art photography. Nick Vaesey is definitely the master of this type of art. He says that he likes to counter the opsession with superficial appearance by using X-rays to strip back the layers and show what it is like under the surface.
